Home Care Services
CHHA and MLTC guidance — helping New Yorkers age at home safely.
Most New Yorkers want to grow older at home, not in a facility. Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHA) and Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) plans exist to make that possible — and Medicaid pays for them if you qualify. We help you and your family understand your options and connect with a licensed provider through our sister agency.

FAQ
Home Care — questions we hear
Don't see your question? Call us at (646) 444-2020 or request a callback — a licensed agent will get back to you within one business day.
What's the difference between CHHA and MLTC?
CHHA (Certified Home Health Agency) provides short-term skilled services — nursing, physical therapy — usually after a hospital stay. MLTC (Managed Long-Term Care) is ongoing daily support for adults 18+ who need help with activities of daily living for 120+ days.
Can I get paid to care for my parent?
Yes, through CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program). If your parent qualifies for Medicaid home care, they can hire and pay a family member (with limited exceptions like spouses).
Does Medicare pay for home care?
Medicare pays for short-term skilled home health after a qualifying event — not for ongoing personal care. Long-term daily support is generally paid by Medicaid, long-term care insurance, or private pay.
Do you provide the caregivers directly?
No — we provide consultation and coordination. The licensed home care services are delivered by our sister agency, which is separately licensed by New York State.
